To offset server costs, this site displays advertisements using Google’s AdSense program. Google’s program uses keywords within a page to direct more targeted ads to people. Because of the nature of this site, some of the ads you may see are for products that—if you know anything at all about me—you know I don’t support or endorse in any way. I have limited control over what Google serves up, and when particularly offensive ads about stupid diets show up, I try to add them to the list of excluded ads.
I can’t get them all, though, so sometimes you’ll see ads for crap. Listen closely:
You’re smart. If an ad looks like baloney, it probably is. If something interests you and you want to find out more, by all means click it and find out, just don’t assume I’m necessarily recommending that product.
